Chanel and the NRDC Celebrate Our Oceans with a Malibu Dinner Party

“Without the ocean, humans have little chance of survival,” said Pierce Brosnan, as the Pacific Ocean roared behind him. Philanthropists, actors, and industry leaders came together in Malibu Saturday night for an elegant benefit hosted by Chanel and the Natural Resources Defense Council. Dressed head to toe in Chanel, celebrities walked the blue carpet before heading into the home of Kelly and Ron Meyer for dinner.

The evening’s speakers took the stage as Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Julia Roberts, and Cindy Crawford mingled poolside with cocktails. NRDC president Rhea Suh discussed how crucial it is, now more than ever, to preserve the earth’s natural resources.

Chanel and the NRDC joined forces to support the nonprofit environmental organization’s long history of safeguarding our ocean waters and wildlife. Since 1970, the NRDC has worked to protect the world’s natural resources, public health, and environment.

The sophisticated elegance of Chanel and the Malibu sunset created the most picturesque evening; guests enjoyed a candlelit vegetarian dinner overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean. As dessert was served, Snoop Dogg shut down the party with a surprise performance that brought everyone to the dance floor.
